GEODIS seeks an Account Representative for Customs Brokerage to act as the customer service liaison between the company and clients. The role supports clearance of goods into the United States while ensuring regulatory compliance across international shipments.

Daily work includes processing customs and OGA entries, classifying invoices under the Harmonized Tariff Schedule, and entering notes and document requests into Cargowise or AS400 systems. Requests for information are sent to suppliers, service providers, and government agencies as needed.

Coordination occurs with internal offices, departments, and teams on issues affecting customs brokerage. All correspondence and documents are filed by shipping or reference number to maintain organized records and support smooth operations.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of U.S. customs regulations and other government agency requirements
  • Proficiency with Cargowise and AS400 systems for brokerage operations
  • Ability to classify goods accurately using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule
  • Experience managing import documentation and file organization
  • Strong attention to detail when processing entries and correspondence
  • Customer service focus in a logistics or trade compliance setting

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the customer service liaison between the company and the customer
