About this role

Join the Spartech Team as Plant Supply Chain Manager in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Take overall responsibility for the supply chain, including raw material purchasing, inventory control, production scheduling, demand planning, and finished goods shipping. Function as the point of contact for issues delaying customer shipments.

Manage shipping and receiving functions, plan production flow, troubleshoot raw material issues, handle staffing, and monitor production orders and schedules. Develop and analyze production reports to resolve operational problems, ensuring minimum costs and preventing delays. Coordinate activities of shipping and receiving departments with strong leadership.

Collaborate with Shift Supervisors and plant personnel to apply procedures consistently, encourage teamwork, and communicate effectively. Work with Human Resources on work-related problems and identify training needs for operators. Participate in site goals, teams, and projects as requested.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience
  • 7 Years Manufacturing Experience
  • Problem Solving expertise
  • Knowledge of Safety Procedures
  • 5 Years Leadership experience
  • Cost Management skills
  • Experience Managing Direct Reports
  • Budget Management experience

Responsibilities

  • Manage shipping and receiving functions, including planning production flow and troubleshooting raw material issues
  • Develop and analyze production and operating reports to resolve operational problems and ensure minimum costs
  • Collaborate with Shift Supervisors and provide assistance in solving work-related problems
  • Develop and revise standard operational practices and ensure employee compliance
  • Identify projects and methods to improve performance in manufacturing areas
  • Set expectations and provide feedback to achieve site goals safely and efficiently
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate requirements through site management system
  • Coordinate activities of shipping and receiving departments and act as point of contact for shipment delays
